Commerce Solutions Architect

As Commerce Architect, you design and oversee a scalable, cloud-native e-commerce platform on AWS, bridging complex business needs with modern technical solutions. You own the architectural roadmap to ensure availability, security, and performance during peak traffic, while guiding a move toward Headless/Composable Commerce. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to connect merchandising, checkout, inventory, and payment integrations. This is a mission-driven role at a integral, innovation-led organization shaping the future of commerce., * Architectural strategy: design and maintain cloud-native AWS-based architecture (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, EKS, CloudFront) for high-volume processing

• Commerce integration: design integration patterns with ERP, PIM, OMS, and payment gateways (Stripe/Adyen/PayPal)
• Performance & scalability: plan for bursty traffic with auto-scaling, caching (Redis/ElastiCache), and CDNs
• Security & compliance: ensure PCI-DSS, GDPR/CCPA, and secure handling of financial data
• Modernization: lead migration from monolithic to Headless/Composable Commerce (microservices/API-first)
• Cost optimization: manage AWS budgets and implement FinOps practices

• 7+ years in software engineering, with 3 years in solution architecture
• Advanced AWS knowledge; AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) preferred
• Experience building/maintaining large-scale e-commerce platforms (e.g., commercetools, Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud)
• Experience with Microservices and API design (REST/GraphQL)
• Containerization experience (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Data & database design for relational (RDS/Aurora) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) in commerce context
