Job description

As a Real Time Motion Platform Software Designer, you design and define the software that controls how complex machines or high-tech systems behave and operate.

In this role, you support our customers in creating and integrating system control software for high-tech equipment in the semiconductor, analytical, medical equipment industry, defence, cleantech and emerging, within the Brainport region and beyond. Your software expertise plays a vital role in bringing high-tech solutions to life, for different operating systems, including state machine and real-time aspects.

What excites you as a Real Time Motion Platform Software Designer?

You will be working on a toolchain that enables the development of highly customizable real-time software applications for advanced motion control. Among its features are high sample frequencies that enable high controller bandwidths, MIMO control, iterative learning control and setpoint shaping. It connects to system behavior layer via a Sioux proprietary communication framework and the sensor/actuator layer via EtherCAT.

As a Real Time Motion Platform Software Designer, you contribute to defining requirements and you are responsible for translating them into robust software designs, ensuring high-quality implementation and seamless integration. You are eager to grow into a role where you bring your own technical contribution, while guiding the development team. • Acting as a bridge between architects and engineers from a technical perspective.
  • Owning a module or sub-system throughout the entire software development cycle.
  • Applying strong communication skills to effectively guide and mentor a team of (senior) engineers., * Flexible 32-40 hour working week, with room to work from home.
  • A healthy work-life balance is very important to us. We have 28 holidays with an option to buy an additional 12 holidays.
  • You will work with passionate colleagues who share your drive for technology and business success.
  • By combining our expertise in software, electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, mathematics and assembly, we make the impossible possible for our customers and get to work on challenging high-tech projects.
  • You get a lot of freedom and responsibility; after all, you know exactly what you are doing.
  • Personal coaching and a training budget of €6000 per year, so that you can continue to develop yourself.
  • We also find it important to have fun together. We organize a lot for our employees, from family festivals and sparkling Christmas parties, to inspiring knowledge sessions for the high-tech community.
  • Our Sioux office is located in a prime location in the heart of the Brainport region. At our main office you can enjoy lunch, sports, making music, and sharing your knowledge with colleagues in one of our Tech Labs.

High Tech & High Fun

We can tell you all about the typical Sioux culture and the high-tech challenging projects. About how you can develop yourself, like nowhere else. But we'd rather have you hear it from our own employees., + One of our recruiters will review your application and get back to you asap.

  • Introduction
  • We will plan an (online) introduction with a Sioux colleague to find out if there is a match.
  • Follow-up conversation(s)
  • In follow-up conversation(s), we dive into the (technical) depth. In some cases a personality test will be part of the conversation and will be discussed with you. In other cases you will be presented with a (technical) case.
  • Both excited?
  • If we are both enthusiastic, we would like to make you an offer. We will talk you through the offer and discuss it with you. Are you already curious about our terms of employment? You can find them here for the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany.
