This individual will support daily network operations, resolve escalated Tier 2/Tier 3 issues, maintain secure connectivity, monitor infrastructure health, and ensure reliable network performance across LAN/WAN/VPN environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and VPN (Virtual Private Network) configurations to ensure seamless connectivity across all organizational sites.
- Maintain and support network hardware such as Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, and other equipment to optimize performance and security.
- Configure and manage network protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), and IPsec for secure data transmission.
- Implement load balancer solutions to ensure high availability and efficient distribution of network traffic across servers and applications.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, PRTG, and other monitoring software to identify and mitigate security risks proactively.
