Job description

  • Develop software solutions that support engineering projects and meet customer requirements

  • Present innovative ideas to improve systems, processes, or services based on industry research
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Requirements

We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable applications and microservices while supporting cloud-native solutions on AWS. This role requires strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams., * Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)

  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Engineering (Required)
  • 2-4 years Technical engineering experience. (Required)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience, including application development, system integration, and software delivery.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for developing secure, scalable applications and microservices.
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching technologies (Redis), and application monitoring tools.
  • Strong front-end development skills using Angular and/or React, including TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Understanding of web security principles, including OAuth/OIDC authentication and authorization flows.
  • Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or equivalent coding assistants.
  • Familiarity with integrating Large Language Model APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent platforms.
  • Basic understanding of prompt engineering concepts, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Also Required: Analytical Thinking, Continuous Development, Emerging Technologies, Test Evaluation

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Developer Associate, or equivalent cloud certification.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development environments.

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

  • Exposure to AI/ML technologies, coursework, certifications, or project experience.

  • Experience in telecommunications, enterprise software, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Contributions to open-source projects, personal software portfolios, or technical communities.

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Base Pay Range: $92,500 - $166,800 Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
