Job description
- Serve as a React Software Developer supporting a production enterprise application.
- Develop, test, and implement application enhancements, bug fixes, and usability improvements.
- Maintain and enhance React-based user interfaces supporting registration, tracking, workflow management, reporting, and business process functions.
- Troubleshoot application issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Translate user feedback and business requirements into scalable, maintainable front-end solutions.
- Integrate front-end components with backend services and APIs.
- Apply modern front-end development practices using React, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and component-based design patterns.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, developers, testers, and stakeholders to support releases and deployments.
- Participate in Agile activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and release preparation.
- Manage priorities independently while balancing operational support and development work.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a front-end developer with strong React experience, solid JavaScript or TypeScript skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers, testers, product stakeholders, and end users. This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys improving user experience, supporting operational systems, and balancing production support with new enhancement development., * Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and six years of software development or software engineering experience.
- Ten years of software development or engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with JavaScript or CSS frameworks such as React or Bootstrap.
- Willingness and ability to pivot between front-end frameworks as needed.
- Working understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Ability to work core hours of 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, Monday through Friday., * Experience with GitLab.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Angular.
- Experience supporting production applications in secure or enterprise environments.
