Job description

CSCI Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant - Materials Management (MM) to support a mission-critical SAP S/4HANA transformation within the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program. This role will support the design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain capabilities within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.

You will collaborate with functional leads, business stakeholders, and technical teams to modernize and optimize logistics and procurement operations aligned with mission requirements. Responsibilities

  • Configure and support SAP S/4HANA MM processes, including procurement, inventory, valuation, and purchasing
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, configurations, and technical specifications
  • Support integration across SAP modules including SD, FI/CO, EWM, TM, and EAM
  • Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops, process design sessions, and solution demonstrations
  • Develop functional design documents (FDDs), test scripts, user guides, and training materials
  • Partner with technical teams to define requirements for enhancements, interfaces, and custom developments
  • Execute testing (unit, SIT, UAT), support defect resolution, and provide production support
  • Support data migration activities for material, vendor, procurement, and inventory data
  • Assist with deployment, release management, and post-production stabilization
  • Provide Tier II/Tier III support and troubleshoot functional issues
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support ATO, cybersecurity, and audit activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of SAP functional experience in MM
  • Experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and master data (material/vendor)
  • Experience developing functional specifications for SAP enhancements
  • Experience supporting testing, defect resolution, and production support
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting DoD or Federal ERP programs
  • Experience with SAP Activate and Agile/Scrum delivery methods
  • Experience integrating MM with SAP solutions such as: SAP Ariba, EWM, TM, FI/CO, SD
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, Solution Manager, or SAP Cloud ALM
  • Understanding of transportation, logistics, and supply chain processes
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Certifications Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Materials Management Certification, Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, etc.), Security+
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
  • Past experience working with a Federal agency
  • Department of War experience is a plus!
