Job description

At Technik, we provide managed IT services to businesses, organizations, and medical facilities throughout Southeast Michigan. From day-to-day IT support to networking, cloud solutions, business phone systems, security cameras, and access control, we help our clients keep their technology running smoothly., As an IT Help Desk Technician, you'll be the first point of contact for clients experiencing technical issues. You'll troubleshoot problems, provide excellent customer service, and work alongside experienced engineers to keep our clients productive., * Respond to client support requests by phone, email, and remote support

  • Troubleshoot Windows PCs, Microsoft 365, printers, email, and common software issues
  • Install, configure, and deploy computers, monitors, and other hardware
  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Set up new employee workstations and assist with onboarding
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and wireless issues
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate ticket notes
  • Escalate server, networking, and infrastructure issues when appropriate
  • Travel to client sites throughout Southeast Michigan when onsite support is needed (mileage reimbursed or use of a company vehicle)
  • Assist senior technicians with structured cabling projects and other onsite hardware installations when needed (training provided and willingness to learn is important)

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of IT support experience or equivalent education
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory user management
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and switching
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team

  • Must be able to pass a State of Michigan LEIN/CJIS background check
  • Ability to sit, bend and twist. You must be able lift up to 50 pounds, * Help Desk: 1 year (Required)
