Job description

CSCI Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant - Procure-to-Pay / Materials Management (PTP/MM) to support a mission-critical SAP S/4HANA transformation for the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. This role will support the design, configuration, implementation, and sustainment of PTP and MM processes, enabling efficient procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with government stakeholders, business process owners, and technical teams to optimize procurement and logistics operations aligned with mission requirements. Responsibilities

  • Configure and support SAP S/4HANA PTP and MM functionality
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, configurations, and specifications
  • Support end-to-end procurement processes including requisitions, purchase orders, vendor management, inventory, goods receipt, and invoice verification
  • Configure procurement structures including purchasing organizations, plants, storage locations, and account determination
  • Develop functional design documents (FDDs), process documentation, and training materials
  • Create functional specifications for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows)
  • Partner with technical teams (e.g., ABAP) to support enhancements and integrations
  • Perform testing (unit, SIT, UAT), defect resolution, and production support
  • Support data migration activities for vendor, material, purchasing, pricing, and inventory data
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support deployment, release planning, and system stabilization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of SAP functional experience supporting PTP and MM
  • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations or operations
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes, including purchasing, inventory, material and vendor master data, and invoice verification
  • Experience developing functional specifications for custom SAP enhancements
  • Experience supporting testing, production support, and system enhancements
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence

Preferred Skills

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Experience supporting DoD ERP modernization programs
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and Agile delivery
  • Experience integrating PTP/MM with SAP modules (FI/CO, FM, SD, TM, EWM, EAM, GTS)
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP Solution Manager, or SAP Cloud ALM
  • Experience supporting large-scale logistics or supply chain transformation initiatives
  • Certifications Preferred: SAP S/4HANA Materials Management Certification, SAP Procurement Certification, Agile certifications (Scrum, SAFe, etc.), Security+
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
  • Past experience working with a Federal agency
  • Department of War experience is a plus!
