Job description
- Become expert in the operation of the FAAD System
- Become expert in connecting the FAAD System to various sensors, weapons, and Army tactical interfaces
- Develop and execute System Test Threads on the FAAD software application
- Clearly explain and document (verbally and in writing) problems and improvements in the FAAD System
- Explain and execute software test procedures for NG mission assurance and government test witnessing
- Prepare technical presentations for management and the government customer
- Support the integration and test of the FAAD system with other systems at various tests around the world
- Analyze interface and functionality problems
- Work with the software team to correct or improve capabilities
- Verify successful integration of the FAAD System with interfacing systems
- Travel 10-25% of the time may be required
Requirements
- Systems Engineer - Bachelor's degree in STEM (and 2 years of relevant experience; or 0 Years with Masters) or additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
- Principal Systems Engineer - Bachelor's degree in STEM (and 5 years of relevant experience, or Masters and 3 years, or PhD and 0 years) or additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered., * Experience with integration and testing of software
- Experience creating test scenarios to test new functionality and verify requirements
- Able to multi-task and demonstrate strong time-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to function in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed steps in order to ensure tests are completed and products delivered
- Hold or able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Following are good to have, but are not required:
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Strong mathematics and statistics aptitude/experience
- Ability to read and interpret system level requirements
- Experience with public speaking in order to present test material directly to customers
- Ability to work with diverse technical, programmatic and user communities, supporting the modernization, capability development, integration and test of an Army command and control system
- Current DoD Secret clearance
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
