Grand Homes, two-time winner of America's Best Builder, is seeking an experienced Director of Information & Digital Systems to join one of the most successful, award-winning homebuilders in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
CRM, Business Systems & IT Leadership
This role will oversee our mission-critical CRM platform while providing leadership to our Business Systems and IT functions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with approximately 75% of the position dedicated to software development, programming, systems architecture, and application modernization.
The ideal candidate will bring a unique combination of software development expertise, CRM knowledge, business systems leadership, technology strategy, and people leadership to help drive the future of our organization., The Director of Information & Digital Systems serves as the strategic leader for Grand Homes' CRM platform, lead management system, business applications, and information technology operations. This role is responsible for driving technology initiatives that support business growth, operational excellence, and an exceptional customer experience.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, with approximately 75% of the position dedicated to software development, programming, systems architecture, application modernization, and systems integration. The successful candidate will lead the ongoing development and enhancement of Grand Home's digital platforms while partnering with executive leadership to shape technology strategy and support future growth.
In addition to serving as Grand Home's technical expert, this role will provide leadership and direction to the Business Analyst and IT functions, ensuring technology solutions, infrastructure, and business systems remain secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, modernization, and ongoing support of Grand Home's CRM platform, lead management system, and digital business applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain custom software solutions, APIs, system integrations, and web applications while helping modernize legacy technologies.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute technology strategies that support business objectives and future growth.
- Drive digital transformation, process improvement, automation, and business systems optimization across the organization.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Business Analyst and IT functions while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee information technology operations, network architecture, cybersecurity, system reliability, and business continuity initiatives.
- Manage technology vendors, consultants, software providers, and technology-related projects from planning through implementation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and the customer experience.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and performance of Grand Home's business systems, data, and technology infrastructure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Technology Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-10+ years of progressive software development and technology experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience with direct people management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience leading software development projects and cross-functional technology initiatives.
Required Technical Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience developing, administering, enhancing, and supporting CRM platforms and business applications.
- Experience supporting mission-critical CRM environments, including workflow automation, system integrations, reporting, and user support.
- Strong experience with PHP programming, including Laravel and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs.
- Strong database design, development, and administration experience.
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience evaluating, modernizing, and supporting business applications and digital platforms.
- 3-5+ years of network architecture and infrastructure experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics, or custom CRM platforms.
- Experience migrating or modernizing legacy applications.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure experience.
- Cybersecurity experience.
- Real estate, homebuilding, construction, mortgage, or related industry experience.
