Job description

At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Information Systems team plays a critical role in supporting the technology that powers patient care and hospital operations. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Desktop / Endpoint Systems Tech to lead the design, support, and optimization of the hospital's endpoint computing environment, including desktops, laptops, virtual desktops, mobile devices, and endpoint security tools.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated technical expert who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys solving complex infrastructure and endpoint challenges while helping ensure a secure, reliable experience for end users across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise endpoint architecture for desktops, laptops, tablets, thin clients, and virtual desktops
  • Manage endpoint standards, configurations, software deployment, patching, antivirus, and encryption tools
  • Support a hybrid endpoint environment including physical PCs, virtual desktop infrastructure, and BYOD/mobile devices
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support endpoint hardware, operating systems, and software applications
  • Administer enterprise desktop management tools such as SCCM, Altiris, or Dell KACE
  • Support Active Directory, Group Policy, remote access, and selected Microsoft server services
  • Monitor endpoint performance, identify recurring issues, and implement process improvements to reduce incidents
  • Maintain endpoint inventory, document incidents and resolutions, and support IT service desk workflows
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to maintain critical systems and improve service delivery
  • Produce technical documentation, status reports, and project plans while supporting upgrades, implementations, and ongoing optimization efforts, * Mission-driven healthcare organization where technology directly supports patient care and hospital operations

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience supporting PCs and endpoints in a Windows-based environment

  • Strong experience with Windows OS troubleshooting, hardware support, and desktop software support

  • Experience with mobile device management and supporting Android/iOS environments

  • Experience with VMware, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and hybrid endpoint environments

  • Experience with enterprise endpoint management tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Altiris, or Dell KACE

  • Experience administering endpoint security tools for antivirus, encryption, and device protection

  • 3+ years of experience with Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO)

  • Knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, and general Microsoft server support

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and participate in after-hours/on-call support as needed, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • Ability to obtain required Microsoft certifications within 180 days of hire, including one or more of the following:

  • MCSE - Enterprise Devices and Apps, Data Platform, or Server Infrastructure
  • Microsoft Specialist - Configuring Windows Devices or Planning for and Managing Devices in the Enterprise
  • CompTIA A+, MCSA, or MCTS preferred/equivalent experience considered
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required organizational certifications and compliance requirements
