Job description
Serve as the primary administrator for the Loan Origination System (LOS), ensuring optimal system performance, reliability, and compliance. Lead system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements while collaborating cross-functionally to drive process improvements. Provide expert-level support, training, and documentation to ensure operational excellence and regulatory adherence.
What You'll Contribute
- Maximize the capabilities of the Loan Origination System by testing and documenting system releases, managing report modifications, developing new reports, and executing special projects to support departmental goals.
- Document all product and fee changes in accordance with vendor requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
- Perform regular audits of system access, manage user permissions by adding or removing users in compliance with credit union policies, and ensure the overall security of mortgage systems.
- Monitor investor and mortgage insurance (MI) announcements, assess their impact on operations, and communicate any necessary changes to procedures, products, or processes to relevant staff.
- Oversee system-related compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations, ensuring timely updates and communication of changes to staff.
- Manage the vendor documentation process, collect required records, and maintain current information in all relevant systems.
- Assist the Senior Director, Mortgage Production and Senior Director, Mortgage Origination in implementing procedural changes, updating documentation and forms as needed, and supporting staff training efforts.
- Support the implementation of new software systems for mortgage operations and act as a liaison between internal teams and third-party vendors, including appraisers, attorneys, and flood certification providers.
- Prepare and distribute monthly reports for the Credit Committee, Board of Directors, and internal department tracking.
- Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the credit union's Fundamentals and the Workers Way culture program.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support department and organizational goals.
Mortgage Lending (Encompass) - 65%
Dedicate the majority of time to managing and maintaining the Encompass system, which is central to our mortgage operations. Responsibilities will include system configuration, user support, workflow optimization, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Consumer Lending (MeridianLink) - 25%
Support system enhancements and integrations for MeridianLink, contributing to improved efficiency and user experience for our consumer lending team.
Commercial Lending (SageWorks) - 10%
Oversee system access and user management for SageWorks, ensuring secure and reliable support for our commercial lending operations.
Other Duties:
- May be asked to provide coverage in other WCU branches or departments.
- Adhere to all WCU policies and procedures which include security compliance and following guidelines intended to limit risk exposure to fraud and losses.
- Participates in department and/or organizational projects as directed.
- Performs other tasks or functions as required, requested, necessary or prudent.
- Maintains confidentiality of all member and credit union information and data.
- Regularly demonstrates behaviors as defined by the credit union's Fundamentals, which are part of the Workers Way culture program.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in mortgage lending or mortgage systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations, LOS platforms, and credit union operations
- The Mortgage Systems Administrator should have a solid understanding of Loan Origination Systems and the mortgage process, along with knowledge of relevant regulations such as TRID, RESPA, and HMDA. This role requires technical skills in system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and reporting, as well as strong communication abilities to support training and documentation. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with vendors are essential. A commitment to compliance, data security, and confidentiality is key.

Pay Grade Range: $83,448.89 $104,311.22
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted pay grade range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
