Job description

This role focuses on designing, building, and integrating embedded software for an aftermarket in-cab AI assistant platform used in heavy equipment. You will work on a solution that combines dedicated compute, a secondary display, voice-first interaction, machine integration, grounded Q&A, and connected-device capabilities such as over-the-air (OTA) updates, logging, and diagnostics. You will play a key role in hardware/software integration, machine interfaces, and system-level reliability to deliver MDP, MVP, and production-ready releases., * Design, develop, and maintain embedded software components for the in-cab AI assistant platform.

  • Implement software for device services, machine interfaces, diagnostics, logging, and overall system integration.
  • Integrate software with compute, display, audio, and other hardware components used in the aftermarket kit.
  • Support machine connectivity and interface development using approved communication protocols and clearly defined system boundaries.
  • Contribute to OTA update, telemetry, diagnostics, and deployment capabilities required for successful product launch.
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, boot behavior, and resource utilization on the target hardware platform.
  • Develop automated unit tests and support integration, bench, and system-level testing to ensure robust releases.
  • Troubleshoot defects across software, platform, and hardware integration boundaries, driving issues to resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, technical program managers, quality assurance professionals, and other developers to deliver working software increments and release-ready builds., You will work in a technology-driven environment focused on developing an aftermarket in-cab AI assistant platform for heavy equipment. The role centers on Linux-based embedded systems, C++ development, firmware and embedded C, and integration with edge compute platforms such as NVIDIA Orin or Jetson. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering, QA, and program teams, contributing to system services, middleware, and device-side applications. The work involves extensive interaction with machine and vehicle communication interfaces like CAN and J1939, as well as connected-device capabilities including OTA updates, telemetry, logging, and diagnostics. You will participate in bench validation, integration testing, and potentially field testing to ensure reliable, production-ready releases in safety- and compliance-conscious environments.
