Our team designs and develops solutions that strengthen secure, reliable communication across telecommunication networks.
Our platforms are integrated into the ecosystem and technical infrastructure of mobile operators across Europe where our services process and analyze voice calls and messages to improve security and customer engagement for millions of end consumers.
In addition, our team provides fully managed Value-Added Services (VAS) solutions to multiple carriers.
This role reports into the Director Product and Technology at RealNetworks, a TransUnion company and will form part of a small team of strong but very capable tech team based in Salzburg, Austria.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance Java/Spring-based backend services
- Build integrations with databases, internal systems, and external services
- Collaborate with mobile (Android/iOS) and web (SPA) teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Participate in architecture discussions, requirements gathering, and effort estimation
- Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews and best practices
- Work closely with QA and integration teams across Austria and Portugal to ensure high-quality delivery
Requirements
- Track record years of professional experience in Java backend development
- Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot ecosystems
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and database integration
- Experience working in collaborative, Agile environments
- Fluent English (written and spoken), strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, proactive mindset, and strong team spirit

Benefits & conditions
The minimum salary for this position, according to the Austrian collective bargaining agreement, is EUR 3,954.00 per month for a full-time employment. Depending on professional experience and/or qualifications, your actual salary is intended to be significantly higher.
