Job description
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and end-user issues while delivering excellent customer service and minimizing downtime., * Provide first and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, software applications, and IT hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, email, and connectivity issues.
- Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Outlook, and other business applications.
- Set up new user accounts, configure workstations, and manage user access permissions.
- Respond to service requests and incidents through the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
- Perform routine system maintenance, software updates, and security patches.
- Coordinate with remote IT teams and third-party vendors for issue escalation and resolution.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and accessories.
- Support meeting room technology, video conferencing equipment, and printers.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and organizational standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and user guides.
- Assist with IT infrastructure projects, equipment deployments, and office relocations as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or help desk roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and peripheral devices.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, or Zendesk.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and LAN/WAN environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
