Job description
Provide technical assistance to maintain and enhance firewalls, load balancers, VPN concentrators, device authentication servers, and router security configurations for all networks in the 5th Signal Command AOR. Provide technical assistance to the USAREUR network perimeter/data center security, configuration management systems, and monitoring software currently in use. Focus on the installation, administration, and operational support of JRSS Top Level Architecture and Data Center security components. These components consist of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewalls, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) servers and f5 BIG-IP load balancers. Desired experience will be in managing Cisco security/authentication devices and f5 Network devices. In addition, provide support for any VPN servers that support the Army Border Security architecture., * Design, install, configure, and maintain firewalls, load balancers, and authentication servers.
- Administer and support JRSS Top Level Architecture (TLA) security components, including Cisco ASA firewalls and VPNs.
- Manage and maintain Cloud-Based Internet Isolation (CBII) Menlo service for EUR tenants.
- Provide support to existing monitoring software and configuration management systems.
- Perform detailed analysis and provide technical recommendations for enhancing network security posture.

Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of experience using and maintaining networks (TCP/IP, Ethernet, or VMWare).
- Minimum two (2) years managing F5 Big-IP with ASM, Cisco FTD/ASA firewalls or ISE servers.
- At least one (1) year of hands-on experience with ACLs and router security configurations.
- Two (2) years of direct experience with U.S. military C2 or commercial LAN/WAN systems.
- Vendor certification (e.g., Network Firewall, IDS, F5-CA, F5-CTS, F5-CSE, BCCPA, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, Cisco CyberOps Professional)
- DoD 8140/8570.01-M IAT Level III certification (CISSP, SecurityX, CCNA, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT).
- Strong understanding of network security architecture.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Bonus points if you have:
- Red Hat experience.
Security Clearance:
- Active Secret Clearance with SSBI required.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Business Administration, or Mathematics; OR
- Minimum of eleven (11) years of specialized IT experience in lieu of a degree.

Compensation and Benefits: The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000-110,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
