Job description

As an experienced Sr. Java Developer at Sammons Financial Group within our Corporate Markets business unit, you'll join a team of experienced developers with the unique opportunity to play a key role in transforming a mission-critical insurance administration platform that has supported our business for more than 40 years. You'll help guide the migration from COBOL and VSAM-based mainframe technology to a modern Java-based architecture. This is a hands-on development role where you'll contribute to solution design, architecture discussions, and software implementation while helping mentor other members of the team. This team supports all aspects of Bank-Owned Life Insurance (BOLI), Credit Union-Owned Life Insurance (CUOLI), and Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) within our Corporate Markets business unit. • Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making for our modernization initiatives
