Job description
The Systems Analyst plays a critical role in supporting technology due diligence, integration planning, and post-close execution for mergers and acquisitions. Operating within the Firm's dedicated M&A IT team and reporting directly to the IT M&A Leader, this role bridges business, technology, and project execution to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with the Firm's enterprise architecture, security standards, and operational goals. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex systems challenges, and can translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The person in this role will have an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule from one of our Cherry Bekaert offices.
As Systems Analyst, you will:
- Assess target company IT environments, including infrastructure, applications, and data architecture.
- Develop detailed system inventories, data flow diagrams, and integration requirements for acquired entities.
- Analyze business processes to determine system impacts and required changes.
- Coordinate system migrations, data conversions, and application rationalization.
- Analyze acquired firms' application landscapes and assess compatibility, risks, and integration strategies.
- Support data migration, system consolidation, and application rationalization efforts.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure successful system transitions.
- Become familiar with public accounting software, including:
- CCH (Axcess Suite, Engagement, etc.)
- Thomson Reuters (GoFileRoom, Safesend, SurePrep, etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Business Analyst, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in business system analysis or experience in the public accounting or professional services industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to quickly gain deep understanding of industry based software and tools
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to optimize project delivery.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements and environments., Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Cherry Bekaert will not provide work sponsorship for this position.

Pay Range:
$66,785 - $125,000
