QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a newly formed QA team supporting Lytx's cloud and IoT product platform. This is a hands-on role focused on validating complex systems that span backend services, APIs, and in-vehicle hardware.\n \n You will work closely with QA leadership, engineering, and product teams to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.\n \n \nKey Responsibilities\n \n \n

• Design and execute manual test cases based on functional and technical specifications.\n
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and/or Node.js.\n
• Contribute to test plans covering cloud services, APIs, and hardware integrations.\n
• Participate in system, integration, regression, and release testing.\n
• Investigate, document, and reproduce defects to support efficient resolution by engineering teams.\n
• Assist in test environment setup, configuration, and maintenance.\n
• Collaborate with developers and QA leadership to continuously improve test coverage and quality practices.\n

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) or equivalent experience.\n
• 7 plus years experience with manual and automated software testing.\n
• Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js for test automation.\n
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, MQTT).\n
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.\n
• Experience leverage AI to increase QA productivity\n
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.\n
