Job description
As an IT team member, you will work directly with local office employees as well as remotely support SmithGroup employees in all offices around the country. Working with a firm wide team, you will collaborate on projects and initiatives, improve workflows, develop standards as well as evaluate and use cases for new technologies across the entire firm.
Working with us you will:
- Troubleshoot and solve network, software and hardware issues in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Handle IT support requests and questions from employees working in SmithGroup offices or remotely.
- Troubleshoot and solve network, software and hardware issues working within the Microsoft M365 environment including MS Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint online.
- Conduct new employee orientations.
- Setup, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and network accounts.
- Instruct employees on proper use of IT equipment and software.
- Support employees in a hybrid work environment assisting with virtual meetings/video conferencing and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
- Regularly attend web conferences and collaborate with other IT staff in other offices across the country.
- Assist in moving IT equipment to different locations within the office.
- Work collaboratively with other IT members to solve problems and improve workflows.
- Engage in a team-oriented approach using shared knowledge, best practices and organizational awareness.
- Be a valued contributor, improving workflows and creating documentation for SmithGroup.
- Must be willing to work at the job site 5 days a week.
- Periodic travel to San Diego office as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of an associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in the field of IT.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a great customer service attitude.
- A strong level of initiative and an ability to be a self-starter; ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be detail oriented and able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to set priorities, multitask and work independently.
- Demonstrates ability to learn new skills.
- Strong problem solving ability.
