Job description
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, helping define system architecture, guide integration efforts, troubleshoot complex issues, and support modernization initiatives. You'll play a key role in ensuring complex defense systems meet demanding customer requirements while mentoring less experienced engineers and driving engineering best practices., * Lead systems engineering activities across the full program lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, integration, verification, and sustainment.
- Develop and maintain system architectures for complex defense and training platforms.
- Provide technical leadership for modernization efforts involving legacy systems and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, test, and program engineering teams to ensure successful system integration.
- Evaluate system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability, and overall capability.
- Lead technical reviews, design discussions, and engineering trade studies.
- Troubleshoot complex system-level issues involving hardware, software, networking, and interfaces.
- Mentor junior engineers while promoting sound engineering processes and technical excellence.
- Support customer demonstrations, technical documentation, integration testing, and system validation activities.
Requirements
- Active U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher) with an investigation completed within the past five years.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
- Eight (8) or more years of systems engineering experience supporting complex defense, aerospace, or mission-critical programs.
- Strong background in systems integration, architecture development, and technical problem solving.
- Experience leading technical efforts within multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
- Ability to analyze complex system behavior and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Ability to obtain required Special Access authorizations.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
- Ability to support occasional travel and extended work schedules when program requirements dictate.

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Mission systems integration
- Electronic Warfare (EW)
- Radar or EO/IR sensor technologies
- C4ISR systems
- Avionics integration
- Secure communications
- Signal processing (DSP)
- Ethernet/TCP/IP networking
- MIL-STD-1553
- ARINC 429 or ARINC 664
- Systems modeling and interface management
- Agile, Scrum, or traditional systems engineering methodologies

Work Environment

- Occasional domestic travel may be required.
