Job description
- Act as liaison between the customer and Marway to ensure project scope is fully defined and manage projects from concept to delivery.
- Reviews and assists with technical outlines, drawings, quotes, quality clauses, terms and conditions and/or other documents to develop and prepare proposals for the customer.
- Communicates with all levels of personnel both internal and external to ensure timely schedule, cost, and quality of deliverables.
- Assists internal and external Sales Representatives by providing accurate technical and/or commercial information.
- Develops long-term relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and utilize follow-up techniques to obtain future sales and/or gain market insight.
- Answers incoming sales and technical calls from customers in commercial, industrial, military/defense, and other key entities.
- Maintains and records all data as it pertains to Customer Relationship Management tools.
- Supports in-person meetings, trade shows, and other customer facing activities.
Requirements
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and BOMs
- Familiarity with commercial electrical safety standards (NEC / NFPA 70)
- Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects from start to finish
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Self-motivation, reliability, and resourcefulness
- Highly organized and strong communications skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products and CRM tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Salesforce)
- Adaptable with a positive attitude
- Skilled technical and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel (5%)
EXPERIENCE
- Customer Service: 1 year (required); 2-5 years (preferred)
- Technical Sales: 1 year (required); 2-5 years (preferred), * Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field from a four-year college or university and two to five years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
