Job description
Would you like to shape the future of Toyota Automated Logistics (TAL)? Are you on top of UX trends and like to form a UX vision for our solutions? As a UX Architect, you drive Design System adoption and improvement requests, and jointly with our UX community you ensure user-centred (software) development. You will work together with a team of entrepreneurial business and technology experts to realize the evolving needs of the customers and the company strategy of TAL.
Your department
The Solution Development stream is part of the Technology organization within TAL and is responsible for the platform architecture of TAL's FASTPICK and STOREPICK product portfolio. Your department drives the standardization of products and modules. At the same time, it provides the Business Units with the necessary agility to quickly and efficiently create tailored customer solutions out of a set of standardized building blocks.
Your position
You shape the UX roadmap, drive adoption of the Design System, and drive improvement requests into the Design System.
You are eager to understand our customers' and users' needs to set the example with mature designs for our digital customer solutions.
Collaboration is key to you, as you will work with your fellow Platform Architects, the UX Community, the Design System team as well as with Chief Product Owners and UX designers of our Development ARTs (Agile Release Trains) to get our UX vision and standards implemented. You are experienced in Design Thinking, agile working and Scrum.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Build deep understanding of customer/user context through user research; synthesize and communicate clear, actionable insights.
- Define UX vision, principles, and strategy aligned with business goals and user context.
- Set and codify UX quality standards by creating clear UX guidelines and exemplars that teams can apply consistently.
- Influence product roadmaps and challenge assumptions using user-centered insights.
- Design and validate UX architecture (e.g. user mo dels, journeys, high-level task flows).
- Guide UX designers in ARTs to translate architecture into concepts, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Ensure iterative validation through usability testing and measuring UX performance.
- Safeguard a platform wide coherent, end-to-end user experience by driving Design System adoption and improvement requests.
- Collaborate with the global TAL community (product managers & owners, architects, designers and CoE UX Lead) to align UX strategy and improve on UX quality and maturity., In this challenging and responsible role, you will contribute to industry-leading projects and work with skilled and dedicated colleagues and customers worldwide. Requirements
The combination of your open-minded personality, quick understanding of our customers' business, mature (digital) design skills and excellent communication and influencing skills is the key success factor for this job.
- You have a master's degree in a design related study (e.g. Industrial, Multimedia) with 10+ years of relevant working experience;
- You have Design Thinking experience and mindset, you can deal with uncertainty, able to keep an overview, are curious, flexible and agile;
- You are a team player in a communicative world with excellent communicative, storytelling and analytical skills;
- You enjoy working in an international setting and you are willing to travel to visit our customer sites;
- You have excellent knowledge of the English language (any other language is a plus).
- Domain knowledge in the Warehouse domain is a pre.
Benefits & conditions
This position offers a competitive salary range of €6,100 to €7,100 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance), plus a comprehensive travel allowance. Exceptional performance can lead to growth beyond this scale.
