- Developing and maintaining Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring frameworks
- Building and integrating microservices architectures with a focus on scalability and performance
- Working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP to deploy and manage applications
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes
- Collaborating with teams to design and implement RESTful APIs
- Writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to code reviews
- Working with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Supporting the development of distributed systems and data pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Strong experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Framework)
- Working knowledge of microservices architecture and API development
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation practices
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with version control and collaborative development practices
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have experience could include:
- Oracle Certified Associate or Oracle Certified Professional Java SE certification
- Spring Professional certification (VMware)
- Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code practices
- Knowledge of Linux and bash scripting
- Exposure to data quality, ETL pipelines or Power BI
- Experience with SAP systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or SAP RISE)
