Roles of this type may sit within a collaborative engineering environment where you would work with distributed teams to design, implement and maintain cloud platforms that power critical business systems.What you would doTypical responsibilities could include:

  • Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions across Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Managing containerised applications and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing
  • Developing and optimising APIs and microservices for scalability and performance
  • Supporting infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and similar tools
  • Collaborating with development teams on application architecture and cloud strategy
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting and optimising cloud environments for cost and performance
  • Contributing to security, compliance and disaster recovery initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C#, Bash)
  • Understanding of distributed systems, APIs and microservices architecture
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification (or equivalent cloud certification)
