Roles of this type support the delivery of robust student information systems, enabling educational organisations to manage their most critical data and streamline their operations.You would be joining teams that work with SITS (Student Information and Timetabling System), a cornerstone platform within UK education. The work could involve developing, maintaining and enhancing integrations, reports and system configurations that help institutions serve their students more effectively.What you would doTypical responsibilities could include:
- Developing and maintaining SITS system enhancements, configurations and bespoke solutions
- Creating and optimising reports and dashboards to support institutional decision-making
- Designing and implementing integrations between SITS and other institutional systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving system issues and performance concerns
- Collaborating with education stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Writing clean, well-documented code and contributing to system documentation
- Supporting the testing and deployment of updates and new features

Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Proven experience developing with SITS, including configuration, customisation or bespoke development
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with at least one modern programming language (such as C#, Java, Python or similar)
- Understanding of student information systems, education workflows or related domains
- Familiarity with system integration and API development
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
