Job description
- Conducting security assessments and vulnerability analysis across infrastructure, applications and systems
- Supporting the design and implementation of security controls aligned to industry standards and frameworks
- Contributing to incident response activities, including threat detection, containment and remediation
- Collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams to embed security practices into development pipelines and deployment processes
- Assisting with security audits, compliance reviews and documentation of security posture
- Participating in security architecture discussions and contributing technical recommendations

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent industry-recognised qualification)
- Demonstrated knowledge of network security, application security and system hardening
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and secure infrastructure design
- Familiarity with security tools, vulnerability scanners and SIEM platforms
- Understanding of secure coding principles and CI/CD security practices
- Strong technical foundation in Linux, Windows and scripting (Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices and distributed systems architecture
- Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
