The work could involve partnering with technical teams, business stakeholders and delivery partners to shape system architecture that balances innovation with stability, scalability with cost-effectiveness.What you would doTypical responsibilities could include:
- Designing SAP system architecture aligned with business objectives and technology strategy
- Developing integration strategies connecting SAP systems with microservices, APIs and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Leading architecture reviews and technical governance frameworks for SAP implementations
- Collaborating with engineering, data and infrastructure teams on system design, CI/CD pipelines and deployment architecture
- Supporting SAP migration programmes, whether from SAP ECC to S/4HANA or adopting SAP RISE
- Contributing to technical standards, BPMN and UML documentation for complex system designs
- Advising on data architecture, quality frameworks and reporting solutions such as Power BI
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and implementing SAP architecture (S/4HANA, ECC or RISE)
- Strong understanding of modern technology stacks: microservices, APIs, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and CI/CD delivery practices
- Technical depth in backend frameworks (.NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot) and data platforms
- Experience with integration technologies, distributed systems design and data pipeline architecture
- Familiarity with SAP governance, technical leadership and design principles
- Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- Based in the UK, with willingness to work across multiple locations
