Job description

  • Conducting security assessments and vulnerability testing across client and internal environments
  • Analysing security risks and recommending appropriate controls and remediation strategies
  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of security policies, standards and procedures
  • Collaborating with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with security frameworks
  • Providing advice on emerging threats and best-practice security solutions
  • Contributing to security audits, incident response planning and business continuity efforts
  • Documenting findings and delivering clear, actionable security recommendations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles, supported by relevant certifications (such as Security+, CEH, CISSP or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge of network security, infrastructure, threat analysis and risk assessment
  • Familiarity with security frameworks, standards and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.)
  • Experience conducting security assessments, penetration testing or vulnerability analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have skills could include:

  • Experience in specific industries such as financial services, healthcare or critical infrastructure
  • Advanced certifications beyond entry-level security qualifications
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms
  • Knowledge of cloud security, application security or secure software development
