Roles of this type could support the design and implementation of secure, scalable technology solutions across diverse organisational landscapes, working with teams to embed security into architecture from the ground up.We are seeking talented security professionals to join us on a contract basis, working across multiple UK locations including Manchester, Bristol and London. The work could involve collaborating with infrastructure, development and enterprise teams to assess security requirements, design resilient architectures and guide the implementation of security controls across cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments.Typical role overview, * Designing secure architecture solutions aligned with organisational risk and compliance requirements
- Assessing existing systems and infrastructure against security best practices and regulatory standards
- Collaborating with development, infrastructure and enterprise teams to embed security into design and deployment pipelines
- Supporting the evaluation and selection of security tools, platforms and technologies (including cloud services, DMZ solutions and network appliances)
- Developing security architecture documentation, threat models and design artefacts
- Advising on secure API design, microservices security and distributed systems architecture
- Guiding the secure implementation of CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)

Requirements
- Proven experience designing secure architectures in enterprise or complex technical environments
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (Azure, AWS or GCP), network security and secure software design principles
- Familiarity with modern application stacks, microservices, APIs and distributed systems architecture
- Understanding of CI/CD security, containerisation and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Knowledge of relevant security frameworks, standards and compliance requirements (CSDR, regulatory controls)
- CISSP or equivalent recognised cybersecurity certification
- Master's degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Experience with specific technology stacks: .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot, Python or similar
- Familiarity with data security, data pipelines and data quality frameworks
- Knowledge of SAP security (SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP RISE) or enterprise application security
- Experience with F5, DMZ architecture or advanced network security solutions
- Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, Bash and infrastructure platforms
- Exposure to business process modelling (BPMN, UML) or systems design methodologies
