Roles of this type could support the modernisation and optimisation of SAP landscapes, working across technologies such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC and SAP RISE to deliver integrated business solutions.You could be part of a team that bridges legacy systems with contemporary cloud-native architectures, contributing to the design, development and deployment of SAP applications and APIs that drive operational efficiency across organisations.What you would doTypical responsibilities could include:

  • Developing and maintaining SAP applications using ABAP or modern development frameworks
  • Designing and implementing SAP APIs and microservices to support system integration
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and supporting continuous deployment of SAP solutions
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs using BPMN and UML
  • Working with distributed systems and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Supporting data pipeline development and ensuring data quality across SAP implementations
  • Troubleshooting and optimising SAP system performance within Azure or cloud-hosted environments
  • Contributing to code reviews and supporting team standards aligned to ISO 9001, What roles of this type could offerMost roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Professional experience in SAP application development, including hands-on work with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC
  • Working knowledge of APIs, microservices and modern integration patterns
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, including containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with at least one of the following: .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Spring Boot or Python
  • Strong SQL and database skills
  • Experience with version control and Linux or Windows environments
  • SAP Certified Professional qualification or equivalent demonstrable expertise
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have skills and experience include:

  • Exposure to SAP RISE or cloud-native SAP implementations
  • Terraform, Bash scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools
  • React or modern front-end frameworks for SAP user interfaces
  • Power BI or reporting tool integration with SAP systems
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture or cloud platforms
