The work could involve partnering across infrastructure, development and operations teams to establish security standards, evaluate emerging technologies, and translate business requirements into robust architectural solutions.What you would doTypical responsibilities could include:
- Designing and implementing security architectures across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-premises environments
- Conducting security assessments and threat modelling to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines and microservices architectures
- Establishing and maintaining security standards, policies and compliance frameworks (including CSDR requirements)
- Managing and optimising security infrastructure components such as DMZ configurations, F5 load balancers and identity management systems
- Evaluating and recommending security tools, technologies and architectural patterns
- Providing guidance to teams on secure coding practices, API security and distributed systems security
Requirements
- CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience designing and implementing security architectures in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of cloud security across Azure, AWS or GCP
- Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Understanding of secure software development practices, APIs, microservices and distributed systems
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and standards (CSDR, regulatory requirements)
- Experience with SQL, Linux and Windows systems administration
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
