Job description
- Collaborate with the product development team to design and develop new applications or improve existing products based on customer feedback and market needs.
- Design and provide modeled concepts to engineering teams, provide DFM feedback addressing part, tooling and tolerancing criteria.
- Participate in the testing and validation of new products, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and reliability standards.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that customer requirements are translated into technical specifications.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns about product applications.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the features and benefits of the CLC's solutions.
- Gather customer feedback and insights to identify opportunities for product improvements or new application areas.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process, including answering technical questions and assisting with the preparation of proposals.
- Support the sales team in identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products or solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor products to ensure the company's applications remain competitive.
- Provide feedback to the product development team on potential improvements or new features based on customer needs and industry trends.
- Participate in continuous learning opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
- Must have plastics design experience, specifically injection molding.
- Must be proficient in at least one CAD system for both 2D & 3D modeling.
- Must demonstrate proficiency using GD&T and understands general plastics tolerancing.
- Must have knowledge of injection molded part design, including standard tooling and processing basics.
- Must be able to work in both individual and team environments.
- Must be self-motivated and goal driven...proactive and works for results.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-energy environment.
