Job description
Contribute to the full lifecycle of the software development (from requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment and customer support). Implement enhancements related to cybersecurity. Support the current maintenance processes. Generate and maintain the engineering documentation (design, interfaces, plans, requirements, technical notes...). Support the integration with other Galileo teams (GCS prime and other GCS elements). Interact with client (European Space Agency) and end users (SCCF operators) including attendance to reviews, technical workshops, formal test milestones execution/supervision, etc. You will:
- Develop and maintain high-quality applications using the C++ and Java, specifically the Eclipse RCP framework.
- Collaborate with team members on software design, development, and deployment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and practices.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill other developers and foster a collaborative learning environment.
Requirements
We are looking for graduates in SW Engineering or related with background and interest in:
- At least 1 year of experience in developing applications using Java or C++
- Experience using build tools such as Maven for managing dependencies, builds, and deployments
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for streamlined deployment and scaling of applications
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and TDD (Test-Driven Development)
We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:
- Experience with additional programming languages, such as Python, providing valuable perspective and versatility in development projects.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, like Scrum or Kanban, for effective team collaboration and iterative development.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software systems.
- Experience in upskilling other developers through pair programming and knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering a collaborative learning environment, and contributing to the overall growth and expertise of the team.
