At GMV, we are looking for talented professionals to join our Robotics and Onboard Autonomy team, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for the space flight segment.

You will be part of cutting-edge projects for the European Space Agency (ESA) and commercial space customers, working with technologies such as FPGAs, digital hardware, embedded SoCs, and space avionics.

As a member of our Space Avionics and Equipment Division, you will contribute to both operational projects and R&D activities, helping to shape the next generation of space technologies.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

You will contribute to the development of advanced technologies for future space missions, participating in the design and implementation of innovative solutions based on

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing hardware/software solutions for next-generation space platforms.
  • Contributing to digital hardware design and FPGA development projects for space applications.
  • Defining and implementing embedded architectures based on RISC processors and heterogeneous computing platforms.
  • Developing acceleration solutions for signal processing, communications, and onboard Artificial Intelligence applications.
  • Supporting rapid prototyping, validation, and certification activities for space-grade systems.
  • Contributing to the definition of architectures, technical estimates, and the development of solutions for satellites, onboard instruments, and other space platforms.
  • Participating in R&D activities, exploring emerging technologies and driving innovation across the organization.
  • Collaborating with universities, research centers, and technology partners to develop state-of-the-art solutions.

You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and directly contribute to the next generation of space systems for ESA and international customers.

Requirements

We are looking for professionals with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field, with an interest in developing programmable digital systems for space applications.

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • Experience in digital hardware design and development.
  • Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Experience or interest in space technologies and aerospace projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Adaptive Embedded Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies.

It will be a plus if you also have knowledge of:

  • PetaLinux and embedded systems development environments.
  • Xilinx Vivado and FPGA development.
  • Containerization and deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Communication systems and protocols.
  • Artificial Intelligence techniques and planning systems.
  • Cybersecurity for critical systems.
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments.
  • Software quality standards for critical systems such as DO-178C/DAL.
  • Space industry standards and regulations (ECSS).
  • C++ development.
