The Applications Developer, working closely with the Software Developer Manager and the Technology team, contributes to the development and maintenance of a highly customised NetSuite environment. This includes workflows, custom records, and JavaScript based automation (SuiteScript) that power core business operations.
The role is centred on engineering and continuous improvement: designing and delivering scripts and automations, enhancing existing workflows, ensuring safe deployments, and keeping the system stable and scalable. Day to day user support is handled by an external provider, allowing you to focus on technical implementation and automation.

This will include the following tasks:
- SuiteScript development: Build and maintain NetSuite customisations and JavaScript automations.
- Workflow optimisation: Create and improve approval flows, notifications, validations, and supporting scripts.
- Technical implementation: Deliver enhancements based on specifications defined by the Technical Lead and Business Process Owner.
- Issue resolution: Investigate and fix issues related to scripts, configuration, access, workflows, and approvals.
- Automated testing & deployment: Contribute to automated testing and deployment processes to ensure safe, repeatable releases.
- Documentation: Produce technical and user documentation to support consistency and autonomy.
- Internal applications agent: Help shape and improve an internal applications support agent (content, flows, integration points) to automate common requests.
- Vendor management: Manage the external provider responsible for NetSuite support and maintenance.
