Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and maintain HPC platforms including compute clusters, GPU acceleration, and high-performance interconnects (InfiniBand, advanced Ethernet). - Scheduling and orchestration using SLURM, PBS, or similar workload managers. - Design and maintain storage systems: parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS), object storage, and hybrid solutions. - Implement containers and reproducible environments with Singularity/Apptainer, Docker, and Kubernetes for HPC workloads. - Automate infrastructure as code using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. - Integrate quantum computing into HPC workflows via simulators, SDKs (Qiskit, Cirq, Braket), and cloud or hardware backends. - Perform performance tuning and resource optimization. - Provide advanced user support and incident resolution. - Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing. - Collaborate with vendors, research centers, and technology partners. - Define operational standards, automation strategies, and best practices. - Ensure platform availability, performance, and security. - Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and their applicability. - Serve as a technical reference for HPC and quantum computing within the organization. Qualifications - 3+ years experience as HPC Platform Engineer, Scientific Computing Systems Engineer, or DevOps/SRE in high-performance environments. - Experience in high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure deployments. - Strong experience with large-scale Linux systems, HPC and accelerated computing (CPU/GPU). - Proficiency with job schedulers such as SLURM. - Expertise in high-performance networking (InfiniBand, RDMA). - Knowledge of HPC containers (Singularity/Apptainer) and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python). - Understanding of quantum computing fundamentals and hybrid workflows. - Familiarity with quantum SDKs like Qiskit, Cirq, Braket. - Experience with HPC-Cloud integration on AWS, Azure, GCP. - Experience with NVIDIA/AMD hardware and Mellanox networking is a plus. - Ability to translate scientific or business requirements into technical solutions. - Languages: Spanish & English.
