Job description
As a TEMS (Test Environment Management System) Lead, you are responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and strategic evolution of the test environment landscape across the organization. You coordinate, optimize, and standardize how our product teams use, provision, and maintain test environments to ensure reliability and efficiency throughout the delivery lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Own and drive the roadmap, together with the Product Owner and the QA Practice Lead, for test environment management, aligning with product and platform strategies.
- Define, drive implement, and continuously improve processes for environment provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Act as the central point of contact for all environment-related issues, escalations, and planning.
- Work closely with delivery teams to understand their environment needs and ensure timely availability.
- Implement governance around access, data management, security, and compliance for all non-production environments.
- Ensure environments are standardized, well-documented, cost-efficient, and scalable.
- Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, and Product teams to optimize the end-to-end ecosystem.
- Define and monitor KPIs around environment uptime, deployment success, environmental conflicts, and usage patterns.
- Collaborate with the Cloud Platform team to drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work and increase environment reliability.

You will join the QA Platform team which serves as an enabler and force multiplier within the organization. Its scope is technical and foundational, and while it may not directly test business features, it empowers other teams-including business-oriented QA and product teams-to do their jobs better and faste
Requirements
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in environment management, DevOps, platform engineering, QA engineering, or related fields.
- Practical experience with test environment management tools, CI/CD platforms, and infrastructure automation.
- Understanding of cloud technologies (e.g. GCP)
- Strong grasp of software delivery workflows, release management, and testing practices.
- Ability to define and optimize processes, with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical dependencies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize across competing needs, and guide others in best practices.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and documentation of environment landscapes.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to align multiple teams toward shared goals.
Please note that this is a hybrid role (home and office), requiring flexibility to work from both our Utrecht office and our headquarters in Varsseveld. The primary work location is Utrecht, with travel to Varsseveld approximately once every 2 weeks. An on-site presence of around 2 days per week is expected.
