Requirements
As a Senior Software Engineer Integration within our Engineering API team, you bring your passion for technology, problem-solving mindset, and technical expertise to deliver scalable and impactful integration solutions. In this role, you take technical ownership of the systems that enable number portability and orchestration, interfacing with Odido's core network systems. Your work spans the full application lifecycle: from influencing solution design and test strategy, to ensuring high availability in business-critical services. You'll contribute across multiple projects involving vendors and a wide range of stakeholders, and you'll be a steady communicator who aligns priorities and expectations across all levels. Alongside delivery, you help raise the bar in the team by mentoring and coaching others and actively driving upskilling initiatives., Some things you cannot learn at university, you possess them by nature. You bring empathy in how you work with others, structured thinking when integrations get complex, authenticity in how you communicate, calm decision making under pressure, and a natural drive to collaborate and help others grow.
Must-Haves
- Strong telco domain knowledge in OSS/VAS inventory (SIM, OTA, number porting) and solid understanding of SIM security protocols and encryption techniques
- Extensive experience with API development, RESTful architectures, and establishing robust API governance models
- Advanced proficiency in Java, C++, Python, or Node.js, with experience architecting and building software from scratch
- Hands-on experience deploying integration components via Docker and Kubernetes (incl. managed services like EKS or AKS)
- Practical experience with distributed tracing/observability tooling (e.g., ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Jaeger) to track multi-service transactions
- Solid command of UNIX, relational databases, and writing optimized SQL queries
- A delivery-minded senior engineer who communicates proactively, aligns stakeholders, and mentors others to raise team capability
Nice-to-Haves
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
- Proven Seniority with iPaaS or middleware platforms (e.g., Tibco, TYK, Mulesoft, Kafka, Boomi)
- Experience with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies
Location & Working Model
You must already live in the Netherlands, preferably within ~30 km of The Hague, and you'll work at least 3 days per week from our Den Haag office. Candidates applying from abroad will not be reviewed.
