Senior Full Stack Engineer

• Design, build, and deploy scalable, secure, cloud-native applications across marketplace and conversion domains

We are supporting a leading global footwear retailer in establishing dedicated Marketplace and Conversion Optimisation squads to accelerate digital commerce improvements ahead of Peak. This is a contract role running until 30/11/2026, offering a hybrid working pattern with three days per week onsite in Pilsworth, Bury, and a rate of up to £750 per day via umbrella inside IR35. We are seeking an exceptional Senior/Principal Full Stack Engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong product thinking and software craftsmanship. This is a hands-on role where we expect the majority of time to be spent designing, building, and shipping production software while embedding modern engineering practices within the squad. We are looking for engineers who act as Engineering Catalysts, lead by example, raise the capability of the wider team, and help create high-performing engineering teams focused on customer outcomes and engineering excellence.

• 8+ years of commercial full stack software engineering experience
• Strong full stack engineering experience with React, Next.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong AWS cloud-native development experience
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices
• Experience with GitHub and modern Git workflows
• Experience with CI/CD and continuous delivery
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience delivering in Agile product teams
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering, DevOps, and engineering best practices
• Experience mentoring engineers through hands-on delivery
• Experience delivering cloud-native digital products
• Desirable: experience with CommerceTools or similar composable commerce platforms
