Job description
- Directly resolve end user hardware and software issues
- Communicate with users from acceptance to completion of tasks
- Reach out to senior IT staff for guidance on higher-level issues
- Set up and configure new systems
- Troubleshoot and repair software and hardware issues
- Install software
- Keep operating systems, software, and drivers updated
- Inventory new systems and manage excess systems and peripherals
- Manage equipment at customer sites if needed
- Keep users updated on the status of system repairs
- Advise our manager and senior IT staff of end user policy violations
- Support PCs in an Active Directory environment
- Research and troubleshoot software and hardware issues
- Resolve malware and antivirus infections
- Assist with onsite installations of CCTV, PC and server hardware, door access control, and related equipment as needed

- Network, We are a hybrid employer based in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK. This is a part-time Junior IT Technician role working around 15 hours per week initially, with flexible days and a mix of home and office working. We provide on-the-job training from experienced consultants and offer the opportunity to learn Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server roles, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, VoIP, networking, NAS/SAN, door access control, CCTV, Windows 10/11, Microsoft Intune, and more.
