Job description
- Work a 24x7x365 shift pattern covering 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off
- Manage change control, incidents, and service request resolution within agreed SLAs
- Track and manage assets, documentation, inventories, and service records
- Supervise and escort third-party vendors
- Plan and implement IT hardware installations in line with strict data centre standards
- Plan and carry out decommissioning of network hardware and structured cabling
- Maintain data centre toolsets used for support and management
- Support governance and day-to-day running of the data centre
- Work with facilities providers to improve energy efficiency
- Carry out installations, decommissions, changes, maintenance, and service improvement activities
- Perform basic server configuration, including iDRAC and iLO
- Troubleshoot faults and escalate issues where required
- Carry out racking, stacking, moves, changes, decommissioning, and patching
- Support major infrastructure activities, including power outages and replacements
- Manage complex inter-rack and inter-room cable infrastructure

Requirements
- Experience working in high-risk environments and data centres
- Knowledge of DCIM tools and standards is desirable
- Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, or another ticketing system is desirable
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies and networking concepts
- Competent in MS Office and helpdesk or service delivery applications
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Able to work under pressure and on own initiative without supervision
- Flexible approach to shift patterns
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
- Previous experience in a similar role
