Job description
The Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality and performance by investigating failures, identifying root causes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product reliability and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction., * Conduct in-depth failure analyses to determine root causes and contributing factors of product issues.
- Analyze trends in reported failures and complaints to identify recurring problems and opportunities for improvement.
- Categorize and prioritize customer complaints to ensure timely and effective investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, manufacturing, and engineering, to gather data and insights for thorough analysis.
- Partner with product owners and design teams to implement reliability improvements and prevent future failures.
- Communicate investigation findings, corrective actions, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and customers.

Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth root cause analysis using log data in complex robotic systems.
- Passion for continuous improvement in process, troubleshooting techniques, and root cause investigation methodology, such as "cause map."
- Experience with integrating hardware and software in complex robotic systems.
- Experience with data analysis and trend identification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead or work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Medical Product verification and FDA guidance.
- Work experience in highly regulated industries such as medical or military.
- Experience in developing automation scripts to analyze test data.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
- Knowledgeable of Linux OS, Matlab, Python.
- Ability to work with QA to ensure system integration procedures meet Quality and Regulatory needs.
- Ability to manage, track, and upgrade multiple hardware and software configurations.
- Ability to collaborate with other engineering disciplines to drive resolution of issues.
- Experience with product design and improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for reliability and performance engineering.
- Previous experience in triage or issue categorization processes.
Education and Experience
- Education Required: BS in engineering (EE, ME, CS, Bio).
- Years' Experience Required: 2 for Level II, 4 for Senior.
