As a Computer Network Technician at Omnivir, you are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You have a client-centric mindset, take initiative, use good judgment, and are highly organized. You maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks.
Our technicians must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
Technicians must be available at least 2-3 days per week, Monday - Friday. This role requires commuting to client sites, so a personal, reliable vehicle is required.
Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations
Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating systems
Load computer tapes and disks, install software, and manage peripherals
Provide problem-solving support to network users
Perform routine network startups, shutdowns, and maintain control records
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade web server hardware and software
Set up and secure network connections, including VPNs and remote access
Technical Knowledge & Skills Required
Our ideal candidate has experience with: MS Windows & Office Suite Networking hardware & software Servers, mail servers & intranet systems Internet configurations & device drivers Cloud-based networking & security tools Desktop publishing software (preferred but not required)
