Job description
Infosys is seeking a PeopleSoft Finance Functional Sr. Consultant with strong expertise in PeopleSoft Accounts Payable (AP), PeopleSoft Financials, and Time and Labor. The selected candidate will be responsible for addressing user issues, resolving system-related problems, managing tickets and service requests, and implementing required configuration changes. This role requires close collaboration with customer process consultants and subject matter experts (SMEs), conducting root-cause analysis when necessary, and driving continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will serve as an effective liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the successful delivery of enhancements, timely resolution of complex issues, and optimal system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- Location for this position is anywhere in the US. This position may require travel to client/project location
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience
- In order to comply with legal requirements, this role is limited to "U.S. persons" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15. U.S. persons include U.S. citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and certain refugees and asylees.
- Demonstrated experience in AP Banking, PeopleSoft Finance, Time and Labor functional experience.
- Experience in Accounts Payable.
- Experience in General Ledger.
- Experience in Banking / Cash Management.
- Experience in Purchasing / Procurement integration.
- Ability to analyze accounting entries, journal generation, chart fields, distribution lines, combo edits, budget checking, and finance integration issues.
- Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Ability to assist with financial reconciliations, reporting, audit support, and data validation.
- Experience in issue resolution, root cause identification and analysis
- Must be able to recommend solutions to complex issues.
- Good working knowledge of People tools, SQL and other tools
- Experience in gathering business requirements, proposing process improvements, stakeholder management, preparing Functional design and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience with Ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and support processes
- Experience in Commitment Control, if applicable
- Experience in Billing / Receivables, if applicable
- Experience in Project Costing, if applicable
- Strong knowledge of business processes across finance domains
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and desire to work closely with customers.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support production systems, including monitoring jobs, interfaces, and integrations, and ensuring timely response to incidents and outages.
- Experience in collaborative, cross-functional team environments., The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
