Job description

We are seeking a Java Developer (Backend Software Engineer) to support mission-critical federal programs focused on secure application development, system modernization, and national security initiatives. This is a high-impact, hands-on role centered on backend development, service-based architectures, and high-availability systems. Your work will directly support operational readiness and mission success in secure environments.

You will contribute to building, enhancing, and sustaining enterprise applications within Agile and DevSecOps-driven teams., Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications Build and support RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures Implement business logic, system integrations, and data access layers Support application modernization, enhancement, and sustainment efforts Work with relational databases and data-driven services Collaborate with developers, test engineers, and system engineers Participate in Agile and DevSecOps development environments Troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance and reliability

Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance Experience as a Java Developer, Software Engineer, or Backend Engineer Experience working with Java Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate Experience building REST APIs and web services Experience with SQL and relational databases Experience working in Linux/Unix environments Experience using version control tools (Git) Experience supporting enterprise or distributed systems Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills

Technical Environment

Java Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate REST APIs and web services SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) Application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic) Linux/Unix environments Version control (Git) CI/CD pipelines Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
