Job description

A leading global specialty insurer is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a high-performing Enterprise Risk Management technology team, supporting critical exposure management and catastrophe risk platforms used across the London Market insurance business.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on both modern cloud-native development and the ongoing enhancement of a mature legacy application stack. The successful candidate will play a key role in the evolution of systems supporting portfolio aggregation, catastrophe modelling workflows, and enterprise risk analytics.

The environment is highly collaborative, working closely with QA, DevOps, business analysts, Scrum Masters, and modelling teams in a fast-paced Agile setting., * Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications supporting catastrophe risk and exposure management workflows.

  • Build and support backend and middle-tier services, APIs, and integrations.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with the Verisk AnalyzeRe platform, supporting portfolio roll-ups and reporting processes.
  • Write production-grade Python services and contribute across the wider full stack environment.
  • Design and optimise SQL Server databases, T-SQL queries, and stored procedures.
  • Deliver cloud-native services across Azure and AWS environments using serverless and event-driven architectures.
  • Support secure authentication, authorisation, and secrets management practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems and cloud platforms.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and support CI/CD delivery practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in jQuery?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Strong hands-on experience integrating with the Verisk AnalyzeRe platform.

  • Production-grade Python development experience.
  • Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, Razor Pages, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Deep SQL Server and T-SQL expertise.
  • Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications in Azure and/or AWS.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.
  • Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT authentication, and modern security principles.
  • Comfortable working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating across technical and business teams.

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure management or catastrophe modelling experience.
  • Verisk AIR / Touchstone / Touchstone Re experience.
  • Moody’s RMS RiskLink exposure.
  • Experience with observability tooling such as Datadog or Application Insights.
  • CI/CD pipeline experience using GitHub Actions or similar.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Relevant Azure or AWS certifications.
