Job description

Are you an experienced Build Engineer with strong CI/CD expertise, multi-platform deployment experience and a passion for game development?

Join a creative game development team building innovative, large-scale titles enjoyed by millions of players. You will play a key role in maintaining and evolving build systems, supporting developers across disciplines and ensuring smooth, reliable workflows throughout the development lifecycle. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working at the core of game production.

About the role You will manage and optimise build systems and pipelines that support multi-platform game development. Working closely with engineering, art and production teams, you’ll ensure efficient compilation, deployment and integration processes. You will also contribute to tooling and pipeline improvements, helping teams deliver high-quality content efficiently.

What you’ll do

  • Manage, optimise and develop distributed CI build systems
  • Ensure build pipelines run smoothly and reliably across projects
  • Communicate build issues clearly to teams using tools such as Slack integrations
  • Oversee code compilation and deployment across multiple platforms
  • Maintain and improve source control workflows
  • Set up and manage build infrastructure, including hardware and networking
  • Contribute to tools, plugins and asset pipeline improvements for development teams
  • Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to improve production workflows

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a build engineer or similar role
  • Experience supporting multi-platform deployment pipelines
  • Proven ability to deliver work independently from start to completion

Skills

  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience with containerisation using Docker
  • Solid understanding of source control systems
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing technical needs

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of Python and C#
  • Experience contributing to artist tools, plugins or asset pipelines
  • Background in game development environments
