Job description

  • Monitor construction activities to ensure they comply with engineering plans, specifications, and building codes
  • Oversee initial and follow-up inspections of raw materials, equipment, and finished products. This includes evaluating the operational processes and ensuring they meet preset criteria established by regulatory bodies
  • Record test results, inspection findings, and progress reports; prepare daily and monthly quality reports for management review
  • Work with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Ensure all testing and site activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Requires the ability to communicate clearly and interface effectively with professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, Math, Quality or related field and typically 2+ years related construction experience or a High School/Trade School diploma or equivalent and minimum 5 years related experience is required. ASQ membership is desirable. Additional years of education beyond the minimum requirement are considered equivalent to years of related work experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge of: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation and Controls, Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Welding
  • Must be tested for visual acuity and color discrimination as a part of employment.
  • Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation. Very good computer skills with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access. Require proficiency in the use of computers and software packages needed to support the documentation, analysis and retention of quality records.
  • Driver’s license with clean driving record.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Experience using Procore software is highly desired.
  • Certification to industry recognized standards, such as certification to DOT, IEEE, AWS, SNT-TC-1a, IEEE, ACI or International Code Council will be favorable.

Salary Range: $35.96 - $62.93
