Tableau & Alteryx Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Tableau & Alteryx Administrator to support and maintain enterprise analytics platforms in a highly visible production environment. This is a hands-on administration and support role responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, performance, and scalability of Tableau Server and Alteryx Server environments., * Administer Tableau Server and Alteryx Server environments across development, testing, and production platforms.

• Perform platform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage security configurations, authentication integrations, certificates, and user access controls.
• Support identity and authentication providers including SAML, Active Directory, and related technologies.
• Monitor system health, performance, and capacity while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Troubleshoot platform, server, dashboard, and workflow performance issues.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Python.
• Support API integrations and platform automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in 24x7 production support and on-call rotations as required.
• Document operational procedures, configurations, and support processes.
• Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve platform stability, performance, and scalability.

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• Proven hands-on administration experience with both Tableau Server and Alteryx Server.
• Experience with:
• Server installations and upgrades
• Backup and recovery processes
• Disaster recovery planning
• Security administration
• APIs and automation
• Firewall and connectivity troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of:
• SAML
• Active Directory
• Authentication and identity management solutions
• Solid networking knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot server and user connectivity issues.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving Tableau and Alteryx performance issues.
• Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux server environments.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and Python scripting.
• Experience managing SSL certificates and platform security.
• Ability to support production systems outside normal business hours when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AWS cloud environments, including:
• EC2
• VPCs
• Networking
• Certificate management
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise analytics platforms., * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A continuous learner who enjoys expanding technical expertise and taking on new challenges.
• Someone who is comfortable supporting business-critical platforms where uptime and reliability are essential.
